About Cold Pod Guide
Cold Pod Guide is an independent resource for people trying to work out whether a Cold Pod is worth buying — and if so, which one.
Why this site exists
The Cold Pod range looks simple from the outside: three tubs, three prices. In practice the decisions that matter — whether you will fit in the Standard, whether the XL is worth the extra $40, whether the Elite Lite earns four times the price — are buried under spec sheets and marketing copy. We wrote this site to answer those questions plainly, including the parts a store page has no incentive to tell you.
How we research
- Primary sources first. Specifications, included items, warranty terms and safety guidance come from the manufacturer's own product pages, manuals and published FAQs.
- Prices are checked, not guessed. We record the price at the time of writing and tell you to confirm it, because promotions move.
- Downsides are mandatory. Every product page on this site lists real trade-offs. A recommendation without caveats is not a recommendation, it is an advert.
- Health claims are checked against research. Where the evidence for cold water immersion is weak, we say so. See ourbenefits breakdown for our evidence ratings.
How we make money
Through affiliate commissions. If you buy a Cold Pod after clicking one of our links, the store pays us a percentage of the sale at no extra cost to you. That is the entire business model — we do not sell ads, run sponsored posts or charge for placement. Full details are in ouraffiliate disclosure.
Independence and accuracy
Cold Pod Guide is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by The Cold Pod. Product names, specifications and prices belong to their respective owners and are presented here for identification and comparison.
We aim to be accurate, but products and prices change. If you spot something out of date or wrong, telling us is genuinely useful.
