For most people the Cold Pod XL is the right buy. It is only $40 more than the Standard but 15% wider, which makes a real difference to shoulder and knee room. Choose the Standard if you are short on space or want the lowest possible entry price, and choose the Elite Lite if you already know cold plunging is a daily habit and you want chiller compatibility.

With the Standard and XL, yes — they are unpowered tubs and you add ice, frozen bottles or reusable ice blocks to bring the temperature down. The Elite Lite can be plumbed to a chiller, which keeps the water cold automatically and removes the ice cost almost entirely.
The Cold Pod cites research suggesting 11–15°C (roughly 52–59°F) for 11–15 minutes as a useful range. In practice, beginners should start warmer than that and shorter — a couple of minutes at 15°C — then work down over weeks.
About five minutes. The legs click in, the top ring inflates, and you fill it with a hose. No tools are needed and no pump is required for inflation on the current models.
The Standard is 29.5" across, which is tight for anyone over about 5'10". The XL is 35.4" and comfortable for most adults up to around 6'2". Very tall users should look at the Elite Lite (39.4") or accept that they will be sitting rather than stretching out.
